Team TFS Texas – GBSA July Softball Camp (Ages 13-18)

Monday – July 18th, 9:00am-4:00pm

Oak Grove Ballfield Complex – Grapevine, Texas

Camp format:  3 hours of instruction, followed by 3 hours of games coached by college coaches.

The Team TFS Texas – GBSA July Softball Camp was a resounding success.  There was a great turn out and we had a lot of positive feedback.  Team TFS Texas will be conducting more of these camps.  Stay tuned for future camps.

Team TFS Texas Names First Professional Head Coach

Team TFS Texas Names First Professional Head Coach
Monti VanBrunt Named Head Coach Team TFS TX-Heintzelman

GRAPEVINE, TX MARCH 12, 2011 – Team TFS announced today the hiring of Monti VanBrunt as the head coach of Team TFS Texas 18U- Heintzelman. Team TFS Texas is a premier girls fastpitch organization based in Grapevine, Texas, affiliated with The Fastpitch School and the Team TFS organization run by international and national clinician and coach, Michael Bastian.

VanBrunt serves as the first professional team coach to be hired within the Team TFS organization.

“The Team TFS organization is extremely excited to hire an individual with Monti VanBrunt’s skills.” said Michael Bastian. “Monti has a very diverse background in softball, as well as in life. He has coached in the professional leagues in Italy and Holland, assisted in many capacities within the Chinese National Softball Team, and has NCAA coaching experience as well.”

VanBrunt’s coaching experience includes having coached athletes from Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, China, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Italy, as well as the USA. He not only assisted with the Chinese National Softball Team, but in addition has served as a head coach in the Italian Softball League and Dutch Head Class, having posted a 61-19 record in two seasons as the head coach of the Tex Town Tigers of the Dutch Head Class, while leading the team to a National Championship in 2008.

“After coaching and developing some of the best players in the world, I believe we can get similar results in Texas.” said VanBrunt. “My goals will be to develop, expose and win. When I am successful in developing, exposure and winning will come.”

Team TFS Texas is a premier girls fastpitch organization located in Grapevine, Texas, which is built on a team foundation of discipline, development of core fundamental skills, advanced mental and physical skill training, as well as offering a college development program. “Team TFS Texas not only teaches girls about softball, but about life lessons, preparing them for the next stage in life.” said David Heintzelman, General Manager of Team TFS Texas. “A happy, successful student is beneficial to the player, family and college. We will continue to improve our program with the addition of professional coaches, and by challenging our young ladies to develop and grow into high performance, accountable team players.”
